Through the efforts of individuals from several rabbit rescue organizations, this gorgeous Silver Marten rabbit, along with seven others, was rescued from a very neglectful situation. Prior to rescue, these bunnies led very sad lives but you should see them now. All we can say is WOW! Marty came in quite underweight, with very long nails and dirty feet. At only 9 months of age, this youngster certainly wasnt off to a good start in life. After a very short time in foster care, however, he now looks like a different boy. He has been cleaned up, has had a nail trim, and has become quite a handsome and personable little bunny. Marty loves all the good food hes now getting, and he is already a healthier weight. He is starting to get used to petting (which he probably never experienced before) and using a litter box. One of Martys rescuers describes him as very curious, active and easy to handle. She is amazed at Martys resilience and his ability to put his sad past behind him so quickly. She says he is doing great for a rabbit who was living in a large, shabby outdoor pen, eating inadequate food and inbreeding with his relatives. Weve heard that all the other rabbits who were rescued with Marty are also doing well. Thats music to our ears! Now were ready to find a loving and attentive permanent home for Marty. You really have to meet this little guy to see just how special he is. We bet you wont be able to look into those big brown eyes without wanting to take this wonderful bunny home.
